Improving Feedbase Performance – listening to dairy farmers. We need you!
Gardiner Foundation and Murray Dairy are wanting to talk directly with dairy farmers to understand their motivations, goals, current practices, skills and information needs for feedbase management. This is a great opportunity for dairy farmers to tell us what they want and need and also tell us what works and what doesn’t. Silage and Animal Health
Animal problems associated with silage are not very common but when they do occur they are not quickly forgotten! Symptoms of animal health problems are decreased intake which leads to decreased production, abortions, scouring and even death!

Free Webinar: Cow Comfort in Housed Systems
Dairy Australia invite you to attend a webinar on cow comfort and lameness prevention in housed systems. Scheduled for Wednesday 23 November at 2.00pm to 3.00pm join Canadian animal welfare researcher Professor Dan Weary who will provide his insights on designing and managing barns and feed pads to maximise cow comfort and prevent lameness. This session is designed for dairy farmers managing cows in barns or on feedpads for extended periods.

IDW 2017 entries are now open with a closing date of midnight on Thursday 8 December for the event. Standard Mental Health First Aid Course - Cohuna and Barnawartha
This course teaches first aid skills for adult members of the public to give initial help to adults experiencing mental health problems, in a mental health crisis situation or in the early stages of a mental illness. Murray Dairy has received some reports that farm workers are being impacted by the Ross River Fever virus.
The $14.9m Farming Together initiative is a national, two-year campaign for primary producers and processors to collaborate and claim marketplace power.
