Need help in assessing your farm business options?
Taking Stock is a free 1:1 business assessment and support service using a consultant to assist in the collection and analysis of current financial and physical data with the aim of clarifying future farm business options. This is available to all levy paying farmers, regardless of who they supply. Call Murray Dairy on (03) 5833 5312. This program is supported by the Australian Government and Gardiner Foundation.
Safety on Farm Open Day
If you would like the opportunity to learn about the latest developments in dairy farm safety, save the date for Murray Dairy’s Safety on Farm Day in Tatura on Thursday 15 December. The open day will update you on what is available to make your farm safer for your family, your employees and yourself.
Making Good Decisions
It can be difficult to make the right decision when the weather is variable, cashflow is tight, you want to try something new or you’re under the pump. To add to our Monitoring and Measurement strategy, Accelerating Change is looking at how project Partner Farmers make decisions around feedbase under these sorts of conditions.

Summer Cropping Workshop
Murray Dairy’s Successful Summer Cropping Workshop 2 will take place on Wednesday January 25th, 2017. Join us on a tour of the region to see how different maize and sorghum crops are performing. Cropping Agronomist, Matt Nihill, will discuss establishment, weed and nutrient management. Soil Scientist, Christian Bannan, will discuss the impacts of soil preparation, soil management and soil characteristics on crop development.

Dairy Australia site to assist with the management of herds through warmer weather.
Victorian Nationals Senator Bridget McKenzie will represent the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Agriculture and Water Resources, Barnaby Joyce, at the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources organised meetings.
The purpose of the meetings is to hear the views of dairy farmers regarding the delivery of assistance measures, including the Coalition Government’s $579 million dairy assistance package to support farmers affected by reduced farmgate milk prices.
